Jobs for NSW brings international talent and Managing Director of 8200 Impact, Neta-Li Meiri to Sydney from Tel-Aviv.

Neta-Li will draw on her wealth of experience in tech-industry startups to discuss how to avoid common mistakes. She will also outline how social impact startups can embrace technology to solve significant social problems around the world.

Neta-Li Meiri, Managing Director, 8200 Impact

Neta-Li Mieri is the Managing Director of The 8200 Impact. She was appointed to this position in March 2016 after more than a year of volunteering as the program's Director of Business Development and Marketing. Her current responsibilities include: management; strategic planning; business development; fundraising in Israel and abroad; investor relations; international public speaking; marketing; PR; and community management.

Neta-Li mentors voluntarily at the IBM Alpha Zone accelerator for startup companies, LeadWith accelerator, which promotes gender equality, Restart program for injured IDF veterans, College of Management Social-Tech Hub, and more. Neta-Li is also a member of Unistream Alumni Advisory Committee, for promoting underprivileged youth through entrepreneurship.

Neta-Li lectures at different forums, both national and international, including AIPAC, US Embassy in Israel, UCLA, AJC (American Jewish Committee), Israeli consulates in the US, Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tel Aviv University, and on various entrepreneurship panels, mainly focusing on social impact and women's empowerment.

After graduating from Tel-Aviv University with a Bachelors of Law degree, Neta-Li practiced corporate-civil litigation at M. Firon and S. Horowitz, two of the largest law firms in Israel.

Before and during her university studies, Neta-Li worked at two startup companies - Insightix (acquired by Intel) and Dgtronix - in business development and marketing positions.

During her military service, Neta-Li served in unit 8200 as an English intelligence analyst. She then completed officer's training and went on to head 8200's foreign relations section.
