Session 1
Title: Moving Operations up the stack
Duration: 40 min
Description:
> STOP! If you're thinking of moving to cloud today (as in IaaS), you are so late that you need to consider moving to serverless.
The future is treating the cloud like a Utility complete with Utility Billing. In this talk Mick will share some of the learnings from 16 months at the Digital Transformation Agency building cloud.gov.au and supporting ~110 application developers across ~11 teams with just two ops engineers.
Speaker: Mick Pollard: https://gist.github.com/aussielunix/89e1975158c14c250989bbb1adee510d

Session 2
Title: Serverless Arena - Who are you against? What weapons do you choose?
Duration: 30 min
Description:
Serverless has been constantly gaining attentions in the past 1-2 years. There are companies who start moving some of their applications to a serverless architecture. There are start-up companies who don't own a single operating system in the cloud.
This talk would be about:
- The common things we would need to think about on a piece of software, regardless being serverless or not
- Why serverless is NOT a silver bullet
- Fully managed storage services
- Fully managed computing services
- Fully managed API gateway
- Fully managed logging / monitoring services
- Fully managed Authentication services
- Fully managed CI/CD pipeline The talk is NOT designed to be AWS centred. Instead it tends to talk about the options in general, including reliability, cost and risk.

Speaker: Daniel Deng, Senior Software Developer, Trunk Platform
Daniel is a cloud solutions evangelist with 5 years of cloud computing experiences. He has been working on pure serverless projects, mostly within the AWS context. But yet he has great passions to explore other useful IaaS and PaaS providers along his cloud journey. He plans to talk about what's available to us, both AWS and non-AWS managed services.
