During this event you will hear how La Trobe University has developed new programs to give local business owners across all major industries the resources to adapt in the face of significant challenges . You will also learn about the various ways our Research and Innovation Precinct partners and La Trobe researchers are pivoting the way they work to develop new capabilities.

Hosted by Professor Sue Dodds, DVC Research and Industry Engagement, this 1 hour session showcases the breadth of talent in the La Trobe community and its’ ability to respond to a changing world

  • 4:00pm – Professor Sue Dodds, DVC Research and Industry Engagement: Welcome/Introduction/Overview of overall La Trobe COVID-19 response
  • 4:05pm – Mr Arran Greenhalgh, Managing Director, Geneworks: Development of a rapid, 30 minute, COVID19 test
  • 4:15pm – Dr Priscilla Rogers, Chief Operating Officer, Wintermute Biomedical: Development of next generation surface and hand sanitisers: the Decastat Range
  • 4:25pm – Professor James Boyd, Chair of Digital Health, La Trobe University: The Digital Health CRC: delivery of a Telehealth hub for healthcare professionals
  • 4:35pm - Professor Chris Stoltz, Professor of Practice (Engineering) La Trobe University: How La Trobe and partners in Bendigo designed and delivered 3D printed personal protective equipment and ventilator components.
  • 4:45pm – Q&A and Close

The event will be run through Zoom, the link for which will be sent to attendees closer to the date.
