We believe in the importance of giving young people the opportunity to ask the big questions of life and explore Christian faith in public schools. Young people need a basis to develop their values and research has shown that faith is the key source of a person’s value system.
The momentum continues to increase and we are making further inroads to bringing Religious Education back in to our Victorian school class time. As we plan for the next stage of this campaign we look to Victorians to continue their financial support.
Tim Costello, Senior Fellow, Centre for Public Christianity, will speak on the positive impact Religeous Education has in strengthening communities and why young people should have the opportunity to explore their faith in Victorian public schools.
Murray Norman: CEO of Christian SRE NSW, who was recently awarded the nationally-recognised Churchill Fellowship to research National Religious Education in 2020, will share the latest innovations and best practices of religious education from all around the world.
Another valuable way you can support this initiative is to share it with other people who are passionate about Christian RE, which will grow our Faith Life Values Victoria supporter base. To do this, we're asking each guest to invite five people to join them at this event.
Together, we will make 2020 a year of impact for Religious Education in Victoria.
