The Hospitable Cities Summit provides a forum for communication of best practice and collaboration between industry leaders on successful tourism destinations.
A one-day summit presented by EP and eHotelier exploring the concept of the “Hospitableness of Cities”. How are cities judged by their guests and residents alike in terms of the enduring hospitality experience the city as a whole offers.
A successful Hospitable City requires more than the sum of the parts, it requires an underlying hospitality glue that cements all the complex factors together to develop a strong emotional connection between the guest and the city.
Attendees will learn from industry leaders through keynote presentations, case studies and workshops and take away value they can apply to their own activities. The conference will provide the opportunity to start further dialogue and discussions with all interested parties.
Ngillan will look at the role of the creative economy in curating an 'authentic' city voice. Beginning with her city, Johannesburg, the talk will look at perceptions of cities and the role of art, design, music and more. The insight will include implications for the hospitality industry and wider trends in Africa.
