Combining fun with learning, our workshop contains an educational theme that keeps children engaged day to day. We have a variety of spectacular workshops, where children don't just enjoy themselves, but also gain scientific knowledge along the way.

These workshops are recommended for children aged between 4 to 11 years old. Limited to 25 children per workshop.

DETAILS

Monday, 7 January 2018 Human Body

Workshop 1: Germs everywhere - What are germs? How can we detect them? Learn about different tiny organisms and how you can stay healthy by reducing the amounts of germs on your hands. Understand wound healing by making model of damaged blood vessel and repaired broken bones

Workshop 2: Lungs - Learn about lungs and how they work inside the human body. Understand respiration and build a model of your lungs

Workshop 3: Blood lab - How much blood to we have in our body? What is blood made out of? Did you know that it is impossible to create blood in a laboratory? Understand the different functions of blood, why it is essential for human life and and why blood transfusions and donations are so important..

Wednesday, 9 January 2018 Chemical Reactions

Workshop 1: Chemical Reactions - Observe how heat energy transfers to different objects through conductivity. Explain the building blocks of matter, atoms, and molecules. Distinguish between a physical and chemical change of matter. Make your own slime and understand the Science behind it.

Workshop 2: Let’s make soap - Understand the different states of matter: solid, liquid, and gas. Learn how to make soap out of glycerin.

Workshop 3: Density of matter - Understand physical properties of matter such as: mass, density, volume, and buoyancy. Compare different densities of objects in terms of mass and volume

Thursday, 10 January 2018 Astronomy

Workshop 1: Mr Sun and Mrs Moon - How do the Sun, Earth, and Moon move and interact with each other? in Make a model with our professors to understand the phases of the moon, about the pull of gravity as a force on objects in outer space and that the Earth rotates around its axis in 24 hours and revolves around the Sun in one year

Workshop 2: Space shuttle - Make a space shuttle using chemical reaction.

Workshop 3: Trip to planet MARS and JUPITER - Is human life possible on planet Mars or Jupiter? Take a trip to Mars and Jupiter with our nutty professors to understand the planets in our solar system. Students will be able to deduce that in order for certain organisms to survive, there needs to be a very specific climate and atmosphere.
