Calling all shower warblers, car karaoke singers, hummers, whistlers and lovers of a tune, choir peeps and anyone who thinks they are or aren't a singer, come along to the launch of Hoi Polloi: A night of slightly organized spontaneous group singing.
Hoi Polloi is about community and connection and making noise together. We will learn a song, harmonise a bit, rehearse and perform all within the space of one night, with no other commitment required. How good is that?
Gina Zoia and a guest musician will lead the event. All you will need is your voice and an open heart. Oh, and should you arrive with an empty belly and/or a thirsty thirst, there will be fabulous Pizza and a Bar available for your gratification.
And here is the ‘slightly organised’ bit. The song we will learn is 'Steer' by Missy Higgins. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_vSRFODAxU Listen to it once, listen to it a thousand times. Rest assured, we will all be learning it on the night.
Whattya reckon? Come and join in and if you’re reading this and still have no idea how it’s going to work, don’t worry, come anyway and we’ll make it work together.
Please spread the word and see you on Sunday, December 18th at The Libertine by Louis 137 Magill Rd, Stepney, Adelaide 08 83634918
