Event description

Description

Plastics are commonplace in many households, but are they a necessity or a nuisance?

China’s recent recycling restrictions and the WA plastic bag ban starting 1 July, has put plastic under the spotlight – so can we live a life without plastic and where do we start?

As part of Plastic Free July, the Western Metropolitan Regional Council’s Waste Education team invites you to join Bottle for Botol founder and WMRC Waste Educator, Christine Parfitt for a free public talk.

The talk will provide you with useful household tips on reducing plastic consumption as well as learning the history of plastic and its impact on the environment.

Be inspired to take action and enjoy complimentary refreshments while part of a movement creating lasting change.

Light refreshments will be provided at the event.
