Event description

Description

Enjoy an evening with guest speaker Mark Tedeschi QC at the opening of the first History Illuminated.

Mark will discuss his three books - Murder at Myall Creek: the trial that defined a nation, Kidnapped:the crime that shocked the nation, and Eugenia: a true story of adversity, tragedy, crime and courage, and why he chose to record the stories behind some of Australia's significant crimes and trials.

As a Barrister and a Crown Prosecutor for thirty five years, Mark Tedeschi QC has appeared in some of the most significant criminal cases in Australia. He has been the Senior Crown Prosecutor in New South Wales for fifteen years and is the President of the Australian Association of Crown Prosecutors.

Presented by Lake Mac Libraries and Hunter Writers Centre, History Illuminated celebrates our history with a program full of discussions, lectures and presentations on historical fiction, fact, research, and writing.
