Adelaide’s West End is the home to some of the city’s longest running business. The West end was the first place of commerce at the time of settlement and we have business that have traded continuously for 30, 40, 50 and sixty years!

The West End is going through a period of significant change but we feel its vital we celebrate the businesses and individuals that are legendary in part of the city. To this end we have partnered with The Media Resource Centre (in itself a west end legend) as part of its Seniors on Screen project, to produce a series of short films celebrating the lived history of our precinct.

We invite you to view the first three films of what we hope will be an ongoing project and an enduring record of life and work in the West End.

The films feature Marcellina's CEO Brian Aoukar , Jamal from Quiet Waters Lebanese Restuarant and Jason from Imprints bookseller all iconic business and identities that have made the West the place it is.
