Hinchinbrook Island is located on Australia’s iconic Great Barrier Reef, just 8 kilometres off the mainland. It’s the largest island on the reef, and the whole island is a preserved national park.

The famous Thorsborne Trail winds around the east coast of the island. Under the shadow of the rugged Mt Bowen you will walk through rainforests, crossover clear mountain streams, relax by waterfalls, and walk along pristine white beaches next to a vibrant blue ocean. You won’t find another trail like this one anywhere in Australia, or even the world.

Hinchinbrook Island is a beloved icon of Queensland’s National Parks, and there are a very limited number of people allowed on the trail at one time. Not only does this ensure that the Island will remain preserved, and stunningly beautiful for future generations, it also means that you can truly feel a part of nature, and escape busy city lives while on this adventure.
