Event description

Description

- Attend this session to learn more about the Higher Education Academy supported accreditation process -

Under the Student Strategy initiative to enhance staff professional development (refer to Goal 3 – Dynamic people and partnerships - Staff professional development and recognition provisions) ITaLI is piloting an accreditation process for staff interested in a Fellowship qualification with the Higher Education Academy (HEA).

The HEA Fellowship scheme is a professional recognition scheme for university educators that allows their teaching portfolio to be formally peer reviewed against external benchmarks by internationally accredited assessors. The Fellowship scheme also applies to novice teachers who can work through a professional learning program that has been accredited by the HEA to build a portfolio. The HEA Fellowship is gaining recognition globally as it provides an international benchmark for teaching quality.

Through engagement with the HEA, UQ will be able to provide evidence that our teaching staff are appropriately qualified and meet Australian and international standards, and ensure that they have comprehensive professional development opportunities for continued reward, recognition and career progression.

Expression of Interest process and application forms can be found on the ITaLI website here.
