This workshop is intended for those interested in becoming graphic designers or wishing to gain an understanding of essential design processes and basic software skills.
Join Dr Guy Keulemans on a journey of exploration of two cornerstones of creative practice that feed design industries – the processes and skills required to hand-draw designs and the knowledge and capability to operate and utilise the tools in Adobe Illustrator.
In this workshop Guy outlines the critical relationship between the hand-drawn and computer generated. The strengths and histories of both approaches are examined in this workshop. Keulemans will set a broad premise of analysis for workshop participants, all of which are considered vital for the effective translation of concepts, ideas, moods, and feelings into 2D and 3D visually designed items. Workshop participants will engage in a range of practical tasks to interrogate various avenues of creative production.
