Join us for Book Club in 2022!

Term 1 Meetings: Friday 4th March | Friday 1st April

All meetings are from 4:15-5:15pm

We're hoping to be able to host Book Clubs in store again in 2022. Which is very exciting indeed.

We've also launched a Queer Book Club for High Schoolers which will run on the Thursday before this meeting. While you don't need to be queer to join, we will exclusively be reading Queer YA books! Also, none of the books that we will read in this High School Book Club will double up, so if you're SUPER KEEN you can always join both! Also, it's not as if we'll never read a queer book in this book club, it's just that that will be a specifically safe space.

The 2nd book will be collected at the first meeting for the term in time to read for the 2nd meeting.

 What do we do at Book Club?

• Book Club members meet-up for about an hour to debrief about that month's book. The idea is to finish the book before our meeting so that we can discuss it without being worried about spoilers.
• Michael leads the discussion and guides Book Clubbers through some fun bookish activities - we want to encourage young readers to be critical thinkers, but are devoted to keeping our meetings fun!
• On special occasions we’ll be welcoming guest authors to join us!
• Not to mention... Hot Chips!

What do we get with each ticket?

• 2 fantastic new titles to read before each meeting!
• Plus a spot at the Book Club table (numbers are limited).

A Note about Accessibility:

Our new store is a fantastic location for the shop and so many of our customers love that we've moved to Fitzroy North Village. We also now have a whole room which is dedicated to Book Club! However, it is up a rather steep flight of steps. Please get in touch if this is untenable for your book clubber, and we will make alternative arrangements for their group. Yarra Libraries are very welcoming and only 200m away! We do not want anyone to miss out.
