Join us for a presentation by Dr Mark Reilly, Managing Partner, Technology, IP Group plc

The fast-paced world of Information and Communications Technology holds a wealth of opportunity for university research labs to create ground-breaking innovations with commercial potential. This talk will cover IP Group's view on the emerging trends in this sector and the technological advancements that will be required to enable those trends.

The talk will particularly focus on the evolving nature of human-machine interaction and the implications it has on all areas of ICT, from interfaces to sensors, from networks to security. Drawing upon case studies of disruptive ICT companies in the IP Group portfolio that have emerged from university research labs, this talk will highlight the potential for directed ICT research to create new technologies that could be scaled via entrepreneurial spin-outs.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Dr Mark Reilly

Managing Partner, Technology, IP Group

Mark has extensive experience in the information and communications technology sector, working with a broad spectrum of organisations from blue chip multinationals and NGOs to early-stage start-ups. His technical expertise ranges from software and web applications to optics and electronics. Prior to joining IP Group, Mark was the founder and Managing Director of Remarkable Innovation, a successful Singapore-based technical due diligence company with a range of international Fortune 500 and national government clients. Mark holds a PhD in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, UK.
