In this practical cooking class, we will bring to life recipes taken from the community cookbook 'A Harmony of Tastes'. Heritage Week Event.

About this event

In this practical cooking class, we will bring to life recipes taken from A Harmony of Tastes, a cookbook compiled by Whitehorse Manningham Libraries.

This cookbook is made up of unique recipes handed down through generations of people living in this area, as well as more recent recipes that have become family favourites. Showcasing the multicultural flavour of our community, the cookbook and class, offer us a taste of the diversity of meals eaten around Whitehorse tables every night.

In this class, we will learn how to prepare and share Greek Zucchini Bake, Guatemalan Atol de Elote and Iranian Anarbij (Anar Bij). Come along, learn some new skills and share a meal with your community.

Do you have a favourite recipe that has been passed down through your family? Bring your favourite family recipe along to share during and be part of Growing, Cooking, Sharing at Strathdon House and Orchard Precinct.
