ANZAC Parade Walking Tour - 'Their Place Remade'

How does an urban artwork evoke a conflict on the other side of the world from another era? How are the stories of the struggle and sacrfice of ordinary Australians told without words? Come on a walking tour to learn more about the latest additions Boer War and Peacekeeping Memorials and reflecting on the evocative landscapes and memorials.

Duration: 1 hour - please allow additional time to walk to and from the memorial.

Tour Meeting Point: Desert Mounted Corps Memorial, ANZAC Parade (Point of reference: In line with Amaroo Street, towards the bottom of the Parade on the Western side).

Memorials Covered: Desert Mounted Corps Memorial, Boer War, New Zealand Memorial, Peacekeeping Memorial and Rats of Tobruk Memorial

Please note:

  • This walking tour is wheelchair accessible.
  • Enclosed shoes, water bottle and hat recommended.
  • Walking tours will not go ahead in cases of extreme weather.
  • No toilets are available along ANZAC Parade.
  • Parking available at the Australian War Memorial.
