Our award-winning HER RIDE Road Program is back to help you kick start a new riding routine and learn invaluable riding skills.

About this event

Our award-winning HER RIDE Road Program is back in 2022.

Are you looking to improve your riding skills, meet new people or kick-start a weekly riding routine? Bicycle Queensland and Kirsty Broun Cycling will be hosting a 4-week/9 session women’s only 'Her Ride' program starting Wednesday, 26 October.

Each session is guided by a professional riding coach from Kirsty Broun Cycling and is the perfect opportunity to learn invaluable riding skills and meet like-minded ladies who ride.

The program will run from Wednesday, 26 October to Sunday, 20 November.

Sessions are conducted Wednesday mornings and Sunday afternoons, meeting at the Bicentennial Bikeway under the sheltered area next to the Go Between Bridge.

  • Wednesday 5:15am – 6:45am
  • Sunday afternoons 2-4pm

The first session of the program is compulsory and is used to assess riders' skill levels to enable coaches to group riders appropriately.

Thanks to the team at Specialized, participants will receive a rider pack which will include; bike lights, a spare tube and CPR02 trigger valued at $110 RRP!

Participants also receive a complimentary coffee after every ride!

If you're thinking you need a new kit for the program our new HER RIDE kit can be purchased here.

Please note:

  • This is not a learn-to-ride course, all riders need to be able to ride, stop and start their bike unassisted
  • All riders will need to provide their own bike. Off-road bikes are not suitable for this course — road and hybrid bikes are preferred.
  • NO folding bikes or small wheeled bikes are permitted. Large paniers to be removed (for safety purposes when riding in groups)
  • Bikes need to be in good working order (refer to ABC bike check) including brakes and gearing.
