HepCheck 1-2-3: A Hepatitis C Education Session

Then this education session is just for you!
As part of the continuing rollout of the HepCheck 1-2-3 program in South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, Hepatitis NSW is offering a free, half-day education session for anyone working in the homelessness sector. Whether you're looking for a refresher or don't know much about hepatitis C, join us for an afternoon where we'll give you the tools to more effectively address the hepatitis-related needs of your present and future clients.
The afternoon will cover everything you need to know about hepatitis C including:
understanding how hep C is transmitted and how to prevent it
all you need to know about the revolutionary new hep C treatments
how to assist clients in accessing treatment and navigating hep C testing
how best to work with clients living with hep C and effectively meet their needs
the physical and social impacts of living with the virus
the difference between hepatitis A, B and C
creating workplace practices that address stigma and discrimination around the virus
Building referral pathways and partnerships with other services to get the most appropriate care for your clients around their hep C
