GIDDY UP BRISBANE, GIN AND GALLOPS IS BACK!
Prepare yourselves Brisbane, the one day we’re OK with being a little more like our southern neighbours is nearly upon us. That’s right: it’s nearly Melbourne Cup time.
Last year’s Cup was one of firsts: the first female winning jockey and the first ever Gin and Gallops bash. The city’s one and only gin-themed Cup celebration went off with a bang, and this year’s festivities are set to be bigger and better than ever. Sponsored by gin kings Hendricks, a ticket to Gin and Gallops 2016 covers all bases: live music, cool cocktails, delicious food, best-dressed prizes and more – including, of course, a classic Melbourne Cup sweep.
Forget watching the Cup in your office lunch room with a glass of warm champagne and half a strawberry. Be treated to a Hendricks teapot (per two guests), a refreshing blood orange Solerno le Fizz cocktail on arrival, non-stop Hendrick's G&Ts, live music and a big screen to catch all the action. Not to mention unlimited craft beer and premium wine, canapés, the glory of being crowned best-dressed and the joy of taking out the sweep.
This year we're offering two ticket types, an all inclusive food & beverage package in our main bar area or a two-course sit down lunch in our mezzanine-level restaurant by Head Chef Mark Maric. 2016 Gin and Gallopers can expect to be in pole position when it comes to good times.
Dutch Courage Officers’ Mess is an upscale cocktail & gin bar and restaurant in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley. Serving up cocktails, beats and eats Tuesday-Sunday 4pm till late.
