Overview

Very short, sharp, creative storytelling with Haiku writing. We'll draw inspo from the everyday. For beginners or Haiku heroes.

Hello, Haiku-ers!
Let's tell tiny stories from unlikely places.

Join us for a fun, 90-minute haiku writing session. We use the most random and unlikely things as inspiration - telling a story in the classic, very short, 5-7-5 syllable format with a creative twist.

I'm Carrie, a professional writer in music, journalism, branding and more - and I'm excited to get people thinking outside of ChatGPT again. I'm building a creative studio called Sesh, all about getting people into their creative flow again.

We'll do a quick chat, quick haiku structure brief, then we'll get into it. That means writing three haiku, sharing them, having a laugh, and showing you how it's possible to use short storytelling in your future.

This workshop is planned for 7pm AEDT. That's:
4pm SGT
9am CET
8am BST

ALL welcome. We're planning some more EU/UK friendly times soon.

We also may run a little less or a little over, so just account for that .

Here's how it works:

  1. You grab a ticket...
  2. Join the Google meet link on the date and time of your Sesh - this will be sent to you after buying a ticket
  3. Be there on time and get ready to tell (very) short stories from unlikely places.

You can be as beginnery as you like, but we ask you come ready to share your work. It'll be a fun and supportive space, and a very lighthearted vibe.

(Anyone to the contrary will get the stinky boot.)

If you have any questions, accessibility needs or anything else, please let me know and I'll see what I can do to accommodate.
