About this Event

Heart Open at the Innovation Festival image

Heart Open at the Hunter Innovation Festival offers everything from heartfelt discussion to Brazilian percussion! Come have a drink and chat and then practice your public speaking skills by introducing yourself to an accepting audience. Guests are welcome to the stage for 90-second, open-mic pitching sessions where you can tell us about your passion, your ideas or your business. Then ABC TV's Kirsten Drysdale will host an "Innovate to Regenerate" panel with Lock-UP Exhibitor Una Ray, Aegle Couture Fashion Designer Martha Ngoyi, Hunter Young Professional Daniel Drayton and Environmental Activist and Poet George Woods. Later that night comes SambaFrog, a multicultural percussionist group performing Brazilian rhythms to get you up and moving! The night wraps up with Improv Teacher, Writer and Actor Lou Chapman's improv games, breaking down your reservations and bringing down the house!

This event blends together many different people and interests. Leave with new friends and ideas!

Heart Open is proudly sponsored by the Hunter Writers Centre. This event is a collaboration between Heart Open, Hunter Innovation Festival, Hunter Young Professionals and The Lock-Up.
