On the Farm with Ian Burow, a local fifth generation farmer with 31 years experience. Ian's business Green Drop Organics, has been growing sustainable organic and biodynamic crops on the same farm for more than 50 years. Ian's passion is teaching people how to grow nutritious food, specialising in an assortment of sprouts. Come along and learn why we want organic, what the drivers of healthy vegetable production are and how to get your home grown fruit and vegetables to taste like nature intended.

This workshop is for gardeners, farmers, landscapers and anyone interested in sustainable agriculture.
What you will learn :
- Improve soil drainage

- Unlock full range of minerals from your soil
The day will include:
The workshop will be three hours long and consist of an information session followed by Q&A.
Bring your own morning tea/lunch and stay afterwards and enjoy a picnic on the farm.
The knowledge you will take away . . .
Following this workshop, you will understand natural food production methods with an emphasis on sustainability and soil improvement. You will also gain an understanding of the invisible work undertaken by a host of micro-organisms, minerals and nutrients. You will be armed with the knowledge to support your own food growing aspirations – no matter how big or small.
In addition, you will meet a lot of other people who share the same passion of growing organic food in abundance.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes, please bring along your printed ticket.
What does the waitlist do?
If the workshop sells out you can add your details to the event waitlist. In the event of a cancellation, we will look at our waitlist for the next in line. We will also use this to notify you of when/if this workshop will be held again, so please register your interest in advance.
