You’re invited to Chat Fest for Health Sciences Students

Chat Fest is:

- An informal chat session for University of Melbourne students who have English as a second language.

- Guided by an academic who is experienced in helping students develop communication skills for clinical/placement practices.

- Preparation for communicating well in the clinical health setting including developing skills in communicating with patients/clients, communicating with your clinical supervisors and communicating with other health professionals

- A way to understand the culture of health care and health care communication, so you can take more control of and learn more effectively from your health care placement and experience

During this session, you will chat about and practice different communication strategies, discuss and improve on your clinical communication, and make a bunch of friends from other health professions.

All students welcome.

You are encouraged to bring your lunch.

Date: Fridays from 28th July – 20th October 2017

Time: 1-2pm
