Medical and Dental professionals are often thrust into the world of practice ownership once post-graduate qualifications are achieved, or even earlier in some situations. With no business education during their undergraduate years they are often the unsuspecting victims of misinformation and with limited resources and time, fail to connect with service professionals who can provide them with unbiased advice.

Business for Doctors has established a network of trusted professionals with a proven track record of providing up to date industry information, timely services at a value for money price. Business for Doctors Founder and Director
Dr April Armstrong is a UWA graduate of Medicine and worked in General Practice in Kalgoorlie and Mandurah Western Australia. She is passionate about the business of medicine. She is the founder of the Business for Doctors concept and social media group. April was awarded the WA Telstra Businesswoman of the Year 2015 in the start-up category and her rural practice, Collins Street Surgery nominated for the WA Telstra Business Awards 2015. She has developed strategies and methods in investing and business management. Currently, April is working full-time for Business for Doctors and completing locum tasks in Rural ED and General Practice.

Associate Professor David Williams
has a passion for problem-solving in the medical business world and when faced with difficulties in his own business developed solutions that were easily replicated as solutions for other medical businesses. As the founder and director of the largest neurology group in Australia, Neurology Network Melbourne, David is well respected in the medical faculty for his research and publications, as well as being a lead researcher in the Movement Disorders Program at Monash University. Having the gift of business aptitude and insight into the barriers many doctors face balancing business and medical practice David has helped hundreds of new fellows in successful practice planning. Mr Murray Calder is a Director at RSM Australia and Chartered Accountant that is based in Melbourne with over 19 years’ experience. He provides business, accounting and taxation advice to medium-sized businesses and high net wealth families, including many health professionals. Murray has a passion for providing advice to businesses and their owner’s on growth, cash flow management and succession planning strategies. April Ratajczak is a Registered Nurse has been in nursing and healthcare for nearly 19 years with the majority of that time working in clinic settings working as a Practice Nurse, eventually moving into Nurse coordinator and Practice manager positions over the last 7 years. After completing several RACGP accreditation cycles and site visits, she recognized that there was little to no support for clinics and she decided she wanted to change this. April noticed after managing clinics the right team and training was VITAL to the success. She has a passion for building an amazing team or helping to build morale for an existing team and includes recruitment services and interviewing as part of her practice services.

Padma Gadiyar
In 2019 Padma first presented with BFD at BFD20 as a panel contributor to the Women in Medicine - Thriving not just surviving presentation, as well as launching her book, "Buy, Build, Sell" - Padma health industry experience as a Dental Practitioner and multiple practice owner gives her the valuable insight of business practice ownership when helping others achieve their goals via buy-in or acquisition.
