Description

Health Equity Symposium:

Towards achieving better health outcomes for people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds

This Symposium seeks to provide a venue to discuss what health equity is about for people from CaLD backgrounds, including:

  • key elements that contribute to achieving health equity
  • examples of current work that showcase good quality and appropriate services
  • consumer centred care and improving health literacy
  • shared responsibility by establishing new or strengthening existing partnerships.

Keynote presenter: Mr Demos Krouskos, Chief Executive Officer, North Richmond Community Health Limited and Director, Centre for Culture Ethnicity and Health, Victoria

The program will include the inaugural showing of the ‘Voices for health equity’ video, a market place to showcase good practice examples and breakout workshops.

Registration from 8.30am, the event will start at 9am.
