Event description

Description

A learning event for the Health Engagement Network - Community of Practice.

If you are active in consumer or community engagement and want to promote best practice and build capability in consumer/carer engagement across the health sector in WA – then this Community of Practice is for you!

Conversations of change

Facilitating and participating in conversations where people can express different opinions, while also maintaining productive relationships is a key part of good quality engagement.

This session will be facilitated by Joel Levin of Aha! Consulting (on a pro-bono basis) and Clare Mullen of Health Consumers' Council. There will be opportunities for participants to share their learnings from their work, as well as to practise applying what they've learned in this session.

RSVPs are essential.

Details

The session will start at 9am, with arrival and registration from 8.30am. Given the interactive nature of this session, it is only available in person.

Background to the Health Engagement Network

This community of practice was established with initial support from the Health Consumers' Council and the WA Primary Health Alliance. More information about the background to how this community has emerged is on the Health Consumers' Council website

You can join the community online at www.healthengagement.org.au

Photographs and filming

Please note we may take photographs and film elements of this session that be used in publications or on websites to promote the Health Engagement Network and related activities. If you do not wish to be included in these, please make that known on arrival at the event.
