Healing the Soul: Orthodoxy and Mental Health
Date and time
A panel discussion with four Orthodox Christians psychologists and psychiatrists on Orthodoxy and mental health.
About this event
How does Orthodox spirituality relate to modern psychology? What's the relationship between spiritual life and mental health? Can false forms of spirituality ever be harmful to our mental health? What are the dangers of "spiritualising" mental illnesses? What can we do, as servants, friends and as a community, to promote the mental health of those around us?
Join us on Tuesday 31 May at St Cyril's for a fascinating panel discussion with four Orthodox Christian psychotherapists, exploring these fascinating questions and much more! They'll share their thoughts on how Orthodoxy and psychology interact, and discuss some of the ways individuals and communities can benefit from the insights of modern psychology in dealing with the challenges of contemporary life.
All welcome! Please register so we can cater appropriately.
