Healing the gut

A practical introduction to broth and fermentation

  • Come and have fun at this interactive workshop and connect with like minded people in your community.

  • Understand the importance of gut health for your immune system, moods and overall health and how you can assist the healing process.

  • Taste various fermented foods and drinks so you know what you and your family will like.

  • Learn how to choose quality versions if you are buying it and how to source quality ingredients to make your own.

  • Save money and learn how to make your own gut healing and probiotic foods and refreshing drinks at home without any fancy equipment.

  • Includes your own Kombucha SCOBY and starter liquid so you can start brewing straight away! (Please bring own jar with a lid to take it home in)

  • Includes helpful printed information, recipes and tips so you walk out confident to start!

See first hand how to make simple and easy versions of:

  • Bone broth

  • Kombucha (fermented tea drink)

  • Sauerkraut

  • Coconut yogurt*

  • Coconut Water Kefir*

*Using high potency Kultured Wellness culture starters. These starters will be available to purchase and take home with you from the workshop. They are $40 each (which saves you their postage cost of $14.99) They can be used 5 times for your ferments which makes over 10 litres of yogurt in total (or more when I show you tips) This is one of the easiest, fool proof ways to make extremely benefitial coconut yogurt. Don't worry, all will be explained at the workshop!

I'm coming straight from work/I want to make a night of it, what are the Pre Workshop Dinner Options at Cafe Patina?

The kichen will be open for pre-ordered meals only, which will be served from 5:30pm before the workshop starts. Please contact the organiser or Cafe Patina for menu.

Cold drinks may be purchased from the cafe on arrival.

The workshop will include small taste tests throughout.

What are my transport/parking options?

This venue is within easy walking distance of Wahroonga Train Station.

Plenty of street parking available (not timed after 6pm)

What I need to bring to the workshop?

Please bring a pen and notebook if you want to take extra notes. You will be given printed handouts and recipes to take home.

IMPORTANT: Please bring a glass jar with lid if you wish to take home a kombucha SCOBY.

No need to bring your printed tickets - we will have a list of names at the door.

Is my registration transferrable?

Yes, up until 7 days prior you may transfer your registration to another person or choose a refund. After this time your payment will be forfieted. Please contact the organiser with the name and email of the person you wish to transfer the registration to.
