Description

Join Katharina Nieberler-Walker from Conrad Gargett Riddel Ancher Mortlock Woolley (CGRAMW) on an exclusive tour of the new $1.5B Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital (LCCH) in South Brisbane.

This tour is aimed to inspire and educate participants on the power of landscape architecture in creating a healing environment.

The landscape architecture plays a major role in the design of the hospital and includes an expansive green sloping roof (the largest in the state), transplanted 30 year-old fig trees, state of the art play areas and a number of roof gardens for recreation and rehabilitation.

Participants will be able to experience the landscaped components of the new hospital and see how the design integrates with the hospital facilities and surrounding environment, including the popular South Bank precinct.

The LCCH has been delivered by Conrad Gargett Lyons design partnership (which included CGRAMW as the Landscape Consultant) and Lend Lease contractors and has already scooped a major international award, winning the Future Health Project Award at the International Design & Health Academy Awards last year.

Maximum 25 tour participants.

Bookings essential.
