Community Safety is about creating a strong, secure and well-connected community who are actively involved improving the quality of life and safety of CBCity. Our LGA is one of Sydney’s largest and most diverse communities, and this comes with unique challenges and opportunities.
The City of Canterbury Bankstown has a long-standing priority to reducing crime and promoting the community safety for our residents. We want everyone to feel safe where they live, work, visit or study.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, face-to-face engagement is on hold. We invite you to have your say by completing our survey, attending an online session, or emailing us directly.
Session 1 - Thursday 17th February- 6:00pm to 7:30pm (Online via Zoom)
Session 2 - Thursday 24th February- 6:00pm to 7:30pm (Online via Zoom)
Our Community Safety and Crime Prevention Plan outlines our commitment to improve and maintain the safety of our residents. The Plan will outline strategies, programs and initiatives to prevent and/or reduce crime and promote a greater sense of safety over the next few years.
The Community Safety and Crime Prevention Plan will guide Council’s community safety and crime prevention directions. The plan steers the approach, engagement methods and initiatives targeting safety and crime priorities in Canterbury-Bankstown.
