Event description

Dance through a cloud of colour at this free Harmony Week community event, as we celebrate our vibrant multicultural community.

Featuring glowing neon colours, the Harmony Colour Run is all about inclusiveness respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.

Enjoy entertainment, activities and food once you’ve reached the finish line.

This Harmony Week event will be celebrated on Sunday 18 March 2018 at Centennial Pioneer Park in Gosnells with the first run kicking off at 8am.

It’s not a race, or about who crosses the finish line first – it’s all about unity, colour and most importantly having fun.

What do I wear?

All participants are encouraged to bring along some sunglasses and dress in white so that they can be blasted with multi-coloured paint powder at paint stations along the track. Group costumes are also encouraged!

The colour mostly washes out afterwards, however, we would suggest wearing clothes you don't mind getting dirty and bringing along a towel to sit on for the ride home.

What should I bring?

Bring along a bottle of water and a picnic or buy from one of the food trucks on the day. Remember to be sun-smart in the warm weather.

Is the event wheelchair and pram accessible?

This event is wheelchair and pram accessible. The 5km parkrun course is run on a mixture of concrete paths, wooden boardwalk and grass.

Due to safety reasons, the only wheels allowed at this event are prams and wheelchairs.

Is there an age limit?

Harmony Colour Run is all about inclusiveness respect and a sense of belonging for everyone and is suitable for all ages and all levels of fitness.

Bring your mother, your father, your sister and your brother, your grandparents, your friends, their friends… come celebrate our vibrant community in an event fun for the whole family.

Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Does everyone need a ticket?

Tickets must be produced (either printed or with a visible barcode on a mobile device) at registration for everyone aged 3yrs and over (including carers and parents).

Tickets are not required to join in the start/finish line fun, including food trucks, waterslides, roving entertainment and interactive activities!

If you lose your ticket, simply reprint the email confirmation you received from Eventbrite.

Is the colour safe?

Made from corn starch and natural food dyes, the cosmetic grade powder is completely biodegradable and 100% non-toxic making it safe for the whole family and the environment! The coloured powder is also fun and exciting to throw around!

How does the run start?

Participants are required to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their heat start time to register.

Those participating at running pace will leave the start line first, followed by people moving at a jogging pace followed by those participating at a relaxed speed.

Is the Harmony colour run timed?

This is not a timed or competitive event and is open to all levels of fitness. There will be an hour for each heat to complete the 5km course at a walk, run or roll- the pace is up to you.

Can I run with my furry friend?

Participants wishing to enter with a dog are welcome, but please keep the dog on a short lead or harness and under control throughout the event.

Please note we only allow one dog per runner, you cannot run with both a dog and pram and the welfare of your pet remains your responsibility throughout the duration of the event.

All participants including your pet can expect to be covered in a riot of colour.
