Presentation Description

Identified an unmet demand? Been asked to solve a problem? Developed some great technology? The temptation is to immediately start designing, machining, soldiering and building some hardware. Often building something quickly seems like the shortest path to a sale however it usually ends up being a long and painful process. Drawing on his experiences developing, integrating and manufacturing hardware for military applications, David will provide an overview of the current methods used in the Defence industry to ensure the products supplied to the defence force deliver the capability needed to fight and win.

About David

David has worked in the Defence industry for over 15 years. He spent 6 years in the UK developing biological warfare agent detection products. After returning to Australia he was appointed Managing Director of Tectonica, and successfully developed and manufactured military products for the Australian, British and US Defence Forces.
