Description

Inspired by the War on Waste? Come join us on a FREE kayaking adventure and help take care of Sydney Harbour!

Greater Sydney Landcare Network is running a series of events taking small crews of volunteers to beaches around Sydney Harbour to clean up the plastic that threatens our marine ecosystems.

In the second of our 4 events, we're meeting at Tunks Park and paddling to Primrose Park.

What will I need for the day?
Kayaks and guides will be provided by Land's Edge. They ask that you bring the following:

  • 100% waterproof jacket with a tear resistant with a hood
  • Water bottle, must be able to carry a minimum of 2 litres
  • Sun hat, a broad brimmed hat is preferred
  • Sunscreen
  • Swimwear OR clothing suitable for water activities
  • Closed-toe and secure water shoes
  • Towel
  • Change of clothing
  • Day bag (20-30L capacity). Bags will be carried on the outside of kayaks and will get damp/wet. It is recommend to line the inside of bags with a sturdy plastic garbage bag toassist in waterproofing. Dry bags are a great alternative.
  • Personal medications such as ventolin inhalers, allergy medications, etc

RSVP essential for all events as places are limited. All training and tools are provided, as well as lunch and/or morning tea. Please RSVP by November 5th, 2017 to attend.
