Hampton Festival is a vibrant celebration of local food production & regional artisans. A full weekend of activities in the high country.

About this event

Set against a relaxing country backdrop, the Hampton Festival on Sunday 17th May promises to be bustling with fresh produce and artisan goods, restaurants, wineries and live music. A full day of food, fun, art and music for friends and family to enjoy.

Featured activities include the ‘Growers on the Green’ local producers precinct,  live music performances, farmer talks and demonstrations, local craft beer and artisan gin cocktails, Hampton Art Exhibition and interactive art demonstration sessions, as well as great children’s food and artistic activities.

The Festival’s Chapman Park is an idyllic setting to relax under the majestic blue gums and enjoy the Festival’s live music and taste superb, local produce and locally made food and wine from one of the many featured regional restaurants and wineries. Purchase some local products and fresh produce from stalls in the Market Place and take these delicious delights home to enjoy too. 

The Hampton Festival Weekend is a vibrant annual celebration of local food production and regional artisans of the High Country Hamlets micro-region and runs from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th May 2021.

The weekend offers visitors unique and authentic high-country experiences which highlight the autumn season, the natural beauty and bounty of local produce.

Learn new skills and gain hands-on experience at the art and food workshops on Saturday 15th May - from artisan gin distilling to herbal tea making, polymer clay earring making, art, drawing & pottery workshops - there is something for everyone. Local chefs will certainly tempt your taste buds at the ‘Tastes of the Region’ produce dinners held on the Friday and Saturday evenings at various venues. 

The Hampton area suffered when an extremely large bush fire burnt through 20,000 hectares of land. Six homes were lost as well as some farm buildings and sheds. The local Rural Fire Service volunteers 130 firefighters of which many were local Rural Fire Service volunteers worked across the area, with 47 fire appliances and five aircraft to contain the blaze. Please help support the RFS with donation when you purchase a Festival ticket. Their volunteers assist with the Festival parking.

FAQs

 What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Shuttle buses - Take the hassle out of travelling to the Hampton Festival and take one of the free shuttle buses. Get dropped off and picked up right at the Festival entrance. Catch the shuttle bus from Toowoomba, Northpoint, Highfields, Cabarlah or Crows Nest. Please see the website for For pick up and drop off times 

Parking - the main parking is located at the end of Station Street - follow the signs and you will be guided by the wonderful Rural Fire Service volunteers. Please help support them donation when you purchase a ticket.

Travel by car or plane - please go to website above for directions if you are driving or for further information regarding direct flights into the Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes, in order to enter via the priority entrance you need to provide your ticket and have it scanned. You can either print it out or save it to your phone for scanning.

Can I purchase a ticket on the day at the entry gate?

Yes you can but it will be contact-less payment via CARD ONLY - there will be NO CASH TICKETS AT THE GATE.

What can I bring into the event?

We encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle and refill at the Festival water refill station. A refillable coffee cup is also great for the environment. The Festival is an eco-friendly event.

Dogs are NOT permitted on the Festival grounds with the exception of service dogs for the vision impaired. No alcohol or food can be brought into the Festival.

What's the refund policy?

You can receive a refund up to 30 days prior to the Festival.

Is my ticket transferable?

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to a friend. 

Is it okay if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
