Do you want to learn how to build solid timber furniture? Shani Holster from the Forest Heritage Centre would love to show you how! Shani was a Design and Technology teacher for 5 years before completing her Diploma in Fine Furniture making at the Australian School of Fine Wood. She is now the manager of the Forest heritage Centre and enjoys the opportinity to pass on her knowledge and passion for fine furniture making to other.
Hall tables are a great project to learn furniture making skills as they incorporate a number of joinery, gluing and finishing techniques that are the foundation of furniture making. In this course we build a hall table table from solid timber with one dove tailed drawer, mortise and tenon rails and tapered legs. The finished table will measure approximately Height - 900mm Width - 450mm Length - 900mm approx
