You’re invited to a HAINES® EDUCATION SERIES event on Bariatric Patient Management.
This evening is designed for practicing clinicians and will cover specific challenges in caring for the bariatric patient who is medically unwell, in a critical state or deceased.
Our guest speaker is Stephen Morley, Safe Manual Handling Coordinator, Bendigo Health and winner of the Victorian Worksafe Awards for 2016 “Best Solution for a Manual Handling Issue” for solutions in bariatric care.
Where Stephen lives and works, 41 per cent of adults are obese so Bendigo Hospital have taken significant measures in ensuring safe patient and staff care. Stephen will share experiences from Bendigo Health will specifically cover guidelines, policies and preventative strategies to support care in the following areas:
