Overview

This school holidays get your hands dirty and have fun learning about reducing waste and increasing biodiversity in your own backyard!

Did you know composting and worm farming can help improve soil health, reduce waste, save water and help improve biodiversity all in your own backyard?!

Come and find out how worms can turn your kitchen waste into wonderful rich fertiliser for your garden. Learn everything you need to know to look after these worms and have a happy, healthy and productive worm farm.

In this hands on workshop, kids will improve their practical skills and learn about how to conserve and protect our environment.


For ages 7-12 years.

Important booking information

  • Recommended for children ages 7-12 years. Please book for each individual child.
  • All children must be attended by a responsible adult. Parent/Carers must remain on the premises at all times.
  • Bookings for this program are essential.
  • Wear a hat, comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle - we may explore the local natural area
