Jodie Sheraton

Optimum Intake and Myrtle Oak Clinic

Jodie Sheraton is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and a member of the Dietitian’s Association of Australia. She is the Principal Dietitian and the Director of Optimum Intake Dietitians and Myrtle Oak Clinic (A specialised Eating Disorder Clinic). Jodie has been working in private practice for over 10 years and has experience in a wide range of nutrition related fields such as emotional eating, weight concerns, clinical eating disorders, fussy eaters and child nutrition. She has a team of 5 dietitians, all with their own speciality areas within the nutrition field. Optimum Intake Dietitians have a consistent approach to client care by focusing on a non-diet approach to eating, assisting our clients to improve their relationship with food and to explore the reasons why people eat. We help to cultivate positive attitudes, while supporting clients to learn how to eat intuitively. Focusing on nutrient dense dietary patterns we help clients feel confident with eating and experience the physical and mental improvements that come with better nutrition.

Providing both clinic consults across the Central Coast, Newcastle and Northern Sydney areas and in addition to providing the flexibility of a home visit service, Jodie and her team can tailor nutritional interventions according to the client’s best interest to truly nourish the body through good quality food.

Carin Clegg

Bright Diets and Kids Point

Carin Clegg has been an Accredited Practising Dietitian and an active member of the Dietitians Association of Australia since 2005 and a personal trainer since 2016. She has worked in both Australia and then in UK where
she directed her career focus towards paediatrics and allergies. On returning to Australia in 2011 she worked for the Department of Family and Community Service developing the disability dietetic service, gaining training in the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to feeding and developed a special interest in working with people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

Carin also worked at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Allergy Unit with the team that originally developed the RPAH Elimination diet. Over the past 30 years they have been perfecting it’s application as a diagnostic tool to
identify food chemicals one is intolerant to and tailoring individualised diets to help clients manage their symptoms better. Carin also assisted the team in delivering food allergy and intolerance lecture workshops for university dietetics students and training dietitians in this complex area at conferences and workshops.
Carin understands how hard it is to eat a healthy diet and balance it out with enough body movement. She loves helping people of all ages break through those barriers and find the best way of eating that works for them for the long run so they can live their life to the fullest and feel happy, healthy and vibrant.
