Event description

Description

Sadleir Public School in partnership with Families Together invites mothers, fathers, carers and grandparents with children up to the age of 6 years to this information session presented by

Briget Gurton - Forensic Psychologist, Kids Konnect Psychological Services

It is common for children to behave in ways that are challenging for their parents. How children are feeling affects the way they behave. As they grow up children learn what good behaviour is, and how to control problem behaviour through their interactions with their parents and those around them. However, at times this can be hard for parents to manage.

This session aims to promote positive parenting through behaviour guidance and reduce the stress associated with raising young children aged up to 6 years.

Topics include

• Understanding some of the causes of challenging behaviour

• Skills to help you manage your child’s behaviour including rules and basic behaviour management strategies

Bookings are essential and places are limited.
