Event description

Description

In preparation for the upcoming National Bird Week and the annual Aussie Backyard Bird Count, join us for our bird watching guided walk through Darvall Park. Darvall Park features a number of interesting little bushwalking trails where there will be plenty of opportunities to spot birdlife that inhabit the area. Birds commonly seen in the area include parrots, cockatoos, lorikeets and fairy-wrens. The walk will be conducted by a bird specialist and he will be able to help you spot and identify a wide variety of native bird species.

At the end of the walk you will be provided with some additional information on how you can play a role in the annual Aussie Backyard Bird Count. This community based initiative will help to record the local bird life that can be found in the City of Ryde area.
