About Disney's Magic of Animation:

Uncover the magic behind almost 100 years of the Walt Disney Animation Studios when Disney: The Magic of Animation opens at Queensland Museum on 24 June 2022.

Explore more than 500 original sketches and artworks from your favourite Disney animated classics and go behind the scenes in this rare opportunity to experience the wonderful creativity and innovation from the world’s most prolific animation studio.

Young and old will be enchanted by the magic behind some of the world’s most beloved characters created over the last century by the Walt Disney Animation Studios films and shorts, including Mickey Mouse’s first talkie, Steamboat Willie (1928), films such as Fantasia (1940), Sleeping Beauty (1959), The Little Mermaid (1989), The Lion King (1994), Frozen (2013), Moana (2016), Frozen 2 (2019), Raya and the Last Dragon (2021) and the studio’s latest release Encanto (2021) plus a sneak preview of an upcoming Disney Animation release.

Ignite your imagination in SparkLab, an interactive science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) space. Follow your curiosity and bring out your inner scientist as you question, investigate and wonder about the world around you. Explore our interactive exhibits* across three zones and discover how STEM affects your everyday world. See live experiments at the Science Bar and get hands on at the Maker Space, designing and creating a solution to a challenging question.

If you want to do the Disney Exhibition only please chose exhibition only tickets.

If you would like to see the Exhibition and join us at Sparklab please choose the combo tickets.

Children under 3yo are free but they are counted in the headcount of people so please add the free ticket to your cart when buying your other tickets. Tickets for children under 3yo can only be added WITH the purchase of a adult ticket.

*As this is a group booking the price is set, it is group booking price only. If you have a concession card and/or a companion card you want to use you are welcome to join us but you need to enter and pay as a member of the general public at the Spark Lab /Disney Exhibition ticket counter and not with the group. You can enter with the group once you have your tickets :)

On the day

We will meet between 10:30 - 10:40am will be meeting outside Level 1 Entrance (busway level) I (Bec) will meet you there. Please see me to be ticked off the list, not need to print your ticket I have everyone's names to check off my list. Once we are all there we will go to the exhibition as a group. We have to enter as a group NOT as solo individuals. Disney exhibition is aprox 45mins give or take.

For Those coming to Spark Lab after Disney, there will be a break between 12:00 - 12:55pm in which time you can explore the museum and have some lunch outside.

Spark Lab: We meet at 1:00pm on Level 1 outside the Spark Lab entry. Again please see me (Bec) to be ticked off and we will again enter as a group.

** Please keep in mind this is a large group booking. If you child has auditory, crowd or other sensory needs please keep this in mind. There will be space for you to wait aside away from people and noise if needed. Please just ask me and I will make sure accommodations are made.
