People generally recognise that happier workplaces are more productive. The catch is, how to we create these positive teams?
This workshop interfaces teams and leaders with the research and corporate experiences about how to do it. It combines the findings of a range of research into easily used methods for building wellbeing. These methods have been used the presenter's work coaching and developing teams and their leaders. They also draws on studies of what has worked in organisations.
Building positive teams that get results is not as simple as people previously thought. The use of extrinsic rewards, collusive dependence or confected happiness in the past have often undermined the performance of teams, set up inividuals for struggle or locked organisations into costly but ineffective solutions. Corporations engage in large scale employee satisfaction surveys to track wellbeing but local leaders are left to try and build the resilience of their teams. Employee wellbeing cannot be generated by CEO decree, especially when there is mistrust of head office due to restructures, budget changes or business goals.
This workshop cuts through the complexity to give participants insights and processes to build wellbeing and producitivity in their teams. By combining the personal value of living well with the corporate value of productivity it is possible to grow sustainable productive teams that get results.
