Growing Garlic at Home with Penny Woodward

Local Food Connect is excited to be able to offer Local Food Connect members a free workshop with Penny Woodward on Growing Garlic at Home.
Penny is an expert in organic gardening, has published 7 book, writes articles for Organic Gardener Magazine and is a regular on 3CR’s gardening program. Penny is also on the board of the Australian Garlic Industry Association and is the go to person on Garlic.
If you have ever wanted to improve your home harvest of garlic, then you must come to this workshop.
In this workshop, Penny will be sharing her knowledge and experience on the topic of Garlic including:
- The history of garlic
- Characteristics of different types of garlic.
- Soil preparation, planting, feeding, harvesting, and storing
- Show and tell on garlic types
- Tips, Myths and Traps for the home gardener.
Tickets are $30 but FREE to paid-up members of Local Food Connect.
