Event description

Description

Have you ever dreamed of growing your own supply of delicious garlic at home?

Join the Canberra Environment Centre's garden coordinator Karina Bontes Forward for an evening of all things growing garlic. Garlic is one of the easiest high-value crops to grow, and it loves Canberra’s cold winters! Learn about preparing soil and beds, different garlic varieties, planting, mulching, spacing, irrigation, harvesting and drying. Karina will also talk about incorporating garlic as part of a broader system for increased biodiversity in your backyard, common pests and problems, and some ways to eat and use garlic in the garden and kitchen.

Refund Policy: Please kindly note that tickets are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to other workshops, however you are welcome to pass your ticket on to another person.
