Growing Food in a Changing Climate - Vanuatu comes to Hobart
Event Information
Description
Climate change is the single biggest threat in the global fight against hunger, and our neighbours in the Pacific are particularly vulnerable.
Meet Shirley and Mala, two amazing women from Vanuatu who are working hard to build the resilience of vulnerable communities to climate change. They’re coming to Hobart soon, and we’d like to invite you to meet them at a very special event hosted by Oxfam Australia, Sustainable Living Tasmania and Climate Action Hobart.
Join Shirley Laban (Oxfam), Mala Silas (CARE International in Vanuatu), Bridgette Watts (Urban Farming Tasmania) and Ula Majewski (Oxfam Australia) for an inspiring discussion on how communities are dealing with climate change and what we can all do to help build local, national and global solutions to the climate crisis.
Show your support for climate action. RSVP to this free event now. Together, we can stop climate change making people hungry.
