Grief and Bereavement - Free Information Session
Date and time
In collaboration with The Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement.
About this event
Grief is the normal, natural and inevitable response to loss.
As we age, we are more likely to experience bereavement resulting from multiple deaths as well as non-death related grief and loss. We may grieve the death of our partner, family member, friend or companion animal. We may experience losses such as a decline in our mental and physical health, loss of memory, loss of home as we know it, changes to our identity and less independence.
Join us to learn more about grief, mourning and bereavement. We will also hear some suggestions on how to support someone who is grieving.
This session will be facilitated by an experienced Bereavement Counsellor from The Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement.
Bookings essential.
Morning tea provided.

The Growing Around Loss (GAL) group is an engaging and interactive group which aims to address the complexities of grief, loss, and bereavement in a safe environment. The support group is an opportunity to explore loss in its various forms and to discuss how to cope with multiple losses associated with aging and the uncertainty of 21st Century living.
The groups will be facilitated by experienced Bereavement Counsellors from The Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement. The groups are confidential and provided at no cost to its members.
