RAW IRON PRESENTS - MALES ONLY PAIRS COMPETITION.
This is a MALES PAIRS competition consisting of several GRIDLeague Style workouts to be performed on Saturday the 3rd of December. The nature of the workouts will include tests of ‘Man Strength’ – 1rm’s (lifting heavy stuff) Olympic lifting, Speed and Agility and Gymnastics. We will have different divisions to suit each level of Athlete, Including:
- Silver Backs (age 40+ male pairs)
- Advanced (RXD)
We will be donating $20 of each in support of ‘Livin’ - "it Aint weak to speak”. Livin is a non for profit organization that was founded to wipe out the stigma on mental illness and raise awareness for suicide prevention. Raw Iron and Livin both support bringing people together to participate in active living and positive lifestyles. LIVIN & Raw Iron believe the key to change is collectively working together and raising awareness to combat this growing epidemic and combine forces once-and-for all.

SILVERBACKS:This division is for the Age 40+ males. With all the intensity of the young bucks’ category, this division will give you a chance to be competitive with some fair advantages. (We will be awarding prizes for all 4 top placing divisions). Athletes should be comfortable with movements such as the Deadlift, Clean (Full and Power) Pull Ups, (if required a scaling option can be provided) Box Jumps, TTB
BEGINNER: This division is for the athletes who are just starting and have an understanding of the basic movements. Ideal for your 1st or 2nd comp. Athletes should be able to do Pull ups (if required a scaling option can be provided), Deadlift, Shoulder to overhead @ 40KG, Power Snatch 40kg
INTERMEDIATE: This division is for the athlete who has basic competency in most movements. It will be designed to test the skills of the athlete. Participants should be familiar with typical standards of Olympic lifts, should be able to comfortably Clean & Jerk 70kg, Power Snatch 50kg , Deadlift, Pull ups/Chest to bars, Double Unders, Bar Muscle Ups ( if required a scaling option can be provided)
RXD: This division is for the athlete who is comfortable with all CrossFit Movements. Designed to be a day of ultimate testing. Athletes should be able to complete workouts RXD without scaling. You should be able to Handstand Walk, Clean and Jerk 100kg, Muscle Up (ring or bar), Strict HSPU, Clean 100kg, Double Under, Power Snatch 70kg & Perform Pistols
