Event description

Description

This National Tree Day we will be restoring a waterway in Baw Baw, just west of Goulburn. This is a great opportunity to help reduce erosion, restore habitat for native birds and animals and improve water quality in the Upper Wollondilly River Catchment.

The works are part of our
Rivers of Carbon – Source Water Linkages project, an exciting partnership between Water NSW, Greening Australia and the Australian River Restoration Centre, improving the quality of Sydney's drinking water and the health and biodiversity of the catchments.

When:
Sunday 28th July 2019, 10:00 am - 12:30 pm, followed by a free bbq.

What to expect?
A lovely morning of planting and country hospitality, with a free BBQ lunch. The planting site has been ripped and is on a gentle slope along a waterway, allowing for easy digging and walking.

Please bring a hat, sunscreen, long sleeves, long pants, gardening gloves, sturdy boots, and a water bottle.

Free bus departs:
8:30am - City-West Bus Terminal (cnr Marcus Clarke St and Allsop St, Civic)
The bus will return from the planting site by 2:30pm - 3:00pm.

Self drive:
The planting site is in Baw Baw (near Goulburn). Full details will be provided via email, once your RSVP is received.

RSVP Essential by 4pm, Wednesday 24th July
Numbers are limited, so please register early to avoid disappointment.

Please contact our Canberra office if you have any further questions via email at cbr.admin@greeningaustralia.org.au or by phone on 02 6253 3035.
