Learn from experts about the basic concepts to get you started on your own green roof
Dreamed of growing your own green roof, but don’t know where to start? Learn from Dr Claire Farrell, Green infrastructure expert, about the basic concepts and benefits. What is a green roof? What resources are available? What factors need to be taken into account in the design phase and for ongoing maintenance and care?
Come along to our basic information session on how to get started on your very own rooftop garden!
Dr Claire Farrell developed and coordinates Australia’s only University post-graduate course on green roofs and walls. Claire has a PhD in plant ecology and for the last 7 years has focused on developing green roofs for Australian conditions. This research has been published internationally and has led to recommendations for green roof plant and substrate selection which have been adopted by the green roof industry and were also incorporated into the Growing Green Guide.
